Evacuation Sheet

Designed for use in emergencies without requiring that the patient be transferred from bed to a chair, this Evacuation Sheet is fitted beneath an ordinary foam mattress, to which it attaches with elasticated bands.

In normal use, it lies unobtrusively beneath the mattress but if the user needs quickly to be evacuated, he or she can be held securely in place by means of safety straps and then pulling straps can be released from pockets at either end. In this way, with the patient and mattress both safely inside, it transforms itself into a simple, flexible evacuation sledge. The underside is made from low-friction fabric that will slide easily on stairways, carpet and other surfaces.
